Description: From http://www.kysitebank.com/: Kentucky’s rich natural resources, hard working employees, cutting edge research facilities and a state government united in support for energy independence make the Commonwealth an ideal place for constructing and operating energy facilities. State legislation enacted over the past several years and the development of Kentucky’s Energy Strategy are designed to encourage and promote new and diverse energy projects across the state. In response to these initiatives, the Department for Energy Development and Independence (DEDI) solicited nominations of sites potentially appropriate for energy development and has evaluated those properties using siting criteria for Coal-to-Liquid Fuels/ Coal-to-Gas, Biomass, Solar, Wind and Nuclear technologies. This website is part of a continuing effort to keep Kentucky in the forefront of energy development.
