ARCHIVE NOTICE: This is an archived version of the Kentucky Watershed Watch results.
The data on this site is from the Watershed Watch in Kentucky program from 1997 through September 2023. Watershed Watch in Kentucky data is no longer being added to this site. It is presented here for reference, recordkeeping and/or research purposes.
Please visit kywater.org to learn more about the new Kentucky Watershed Watch program, explore current data, and to learn how become a sampler with the new version of this program.
This application displays water quality data collected by volunteers across Kentucky.
Field data (conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and E. coli) has been calculated by site/sampling event to determine a "grade" for each parameter. The default view is Conductivity calculated and clustered (zoom in to view individual sites).
Use the layer selection on the right to select other individual parameters (dissolved oxygen, pH, etc) and view parameter grades per site/sample event (these are also clustered - zoom in to see individual results).
Grades are on a 100 - 0 scale (100 = most favorable conditions).
Use the time slider at the bottom to explore this data over time.
Click on map points to view detailed information about each sampling location. There may be many results per site due to multiple sampling events.
