KGS Images Story Map Tool

This application is an experimental tool developed for a Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals GIS workshop in 2015 by Doug Curl at the Kentucky Geological Survey. Users can create a storymap tour using KGS photos and ESRI ArcGIS Online by following the steps outlined in the following tutorial guide (PDF): KGS_StoryMap_Tutorial.pdf.

Click "Draw Polygon" button below to draw a polygon on the map around a group of images you would like to use for a Story Map tour. Once complete, an Excel file of the selected points will be created (click the link in the dialog to download).

This file can be used to create your own ESRI Story Map tour. To build one, follow the tutorial found here. Save the Excel file as a "CSV" file, and use the "Advanced Options" described in Step 2.

NOTE: You may need to re-order the list of points in Excel or the builder application to get them in a logical order for a map tour.
