Description

The share operation shares an item with a public or organization sharing level with groups either owned or administered by the user performing the request. If the shared items are owned by the user, this operation acts the same as the Share Item (as item owner) operation.

Note:

Administrators may share an item to a group on the owners behalf. There are no sharing restrictions if the item has a public or org sharing level. The items with a private sharing level may only be shared to groups the item owner has sharing access to.
