Layer: BoreholeLithInterval (ID: 0)

Name: BoreholeLithInterval

Display Field: WellName

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint

Description: This layer contains data related to borehole lithology intervals for boreholes in the State of Alabama, obtained by the AASG for the Geothermal Data Project. This dataset contains lithology log interval observations associated with a borehole. Fields are XML elements in interchange documents for WFS simple features served by AASG geothermal data web services. Each interval feature has a top and a bottom, measured from the ground surface (convention for interoperability) and a geologic unit description that will be identical with the content associated with polygons on a geologic map. The HeaderURI for a particular borehole is the cross-referencing link (foreign key) used to associate the borehole with web based information on the well construction, pictures or other information, specific to one feature. The data is displayed using a purple box (beveled) with a transparent center. Repository located at
