Digitally Vectorized Geological Quadrangles. These data sets are digital adaptations of the 7.5-minute geological quadrangle series. They are prepared in ESRI shapefile format in Decimal Degree coordinates (both NAD27 and NAD83 datum versions are available) with associated metadata and explanatory documents. Each geologic quadrangle theme (e.g., formations, faults, structure contours, etc.) was digitized into individual shapefiles. DVGQ's can be downloaded directly from this search result (download is a zip file containing the metadata and any associated documents, a browse graphic, and the shapefile data), or purchased individually or in sets on CDROM.
